FAQ:

Q1: What is "corona treatment" on a spray paint masking film, and why is it important?
A: Untreated plastic film is naturally slick, meaning that when paint overspray dries on it, it easily cracks and flakes off. If you are applying multiple coats, those dry flakes can land right in your wet paint. Corona treatment alters the film's surface energy, forcing wet paint to anchor firmly to the masking film so it never ruins your finish.

Q: Does this masking film require tape to stick to walls or vehicles?
A: The film features an electrostatic charge that allows it to cling closely to smooth surfaces on its own. However, you will still need a perimeter line of painter's tape to anchor the absolute edges and establish your crisp paint boundary. For ultra-fast setups, we also offer pre-taped rolls.

Q: Can this film be safely used with solvent-based automotive coatings?
A: Absolutely. Our high-density polyethylene (HDPE) formulation is specifically engineered to resist the aggressive chemical solvents found in automotive urethane paints, primers, and clear coats without melting or bleeding through.

Q: What is the benefit of having translucent, blue, or yellow color options?
A: Colored and translucent options make it incredibly easy to see your coverage map at a glance, allowing you to double-check that every millimeter of the unpainted substrate is protected before firing up the spray gun.
