Aluminum Foil Insulation Description

Double sided aluminum foil reflective insulation is made from 2 outer layers of pure aluminum foil and 1 layer thicker natural kraft paper. These layers are bonded together with polyethylene and reinforced with 3-way fiberglass scrim.

Aluminum foil insulation systems, as radiant barriers and reflective insulation work by reflecting radiant heat. Aluminum foil reflective insulation is effective at reflecting radiant heat, helping to regulate temperatures within a building. They can be a space-saving solution compared to bulkier insulation materials. The aluminum foil layer can act as a vapor barrier, helping to control moisture migration within walls.

Reflective aluminum foil insulation is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs, in walls behind cladding or under timber floors, for residential and commercial building. Combining with glass-wool /rockwool/ mineral wool/ foam insulation, it is excellent as a vapor barrier for air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.
