Tape Description

SLAA polyethylene barricade tape is made from an LDPE/LLDPE blend and designed for temporary perimeter marking. Its non-adhesive construction allows it to be tied, wrapped or otherwise secured to suitable posts, fences, cones and barricades without leaving adhesive residue.

Also known as safety barrier tape, warning tape or caution tape, it helps communicate hazards and access restrictions through visible colors and printed legends. Available messages include CAUTION, DANGER, DO NOT ENTER and CONSTRUCTION AREA.

Choose 2.0 mil, 3.0 mil or 4.0 mil thicknesses, with standard roll dimensions of 75 mm × 60 m and 75 mm × 305 m. Custom wording, multilingual printing and OEM dimensions can be discussed for volume orders.

For buyers comparing barrier tape manufacturers and suppliers, SLAA offers product and customization options for safety equipment distribution, construction purchasing and industrial supply.

FAQ:

Q1: What is barrier tape used for?
A: Barrier tape is used to identify temporary hazards, mark restricted areas and communicate access restrictions. Common applications include construction sites, roadwork, industrial maintenance, accident scenes and events.
Q2: What is the difference between barrier tape and barricade tape?
A: The terms are commonly used for the same type of non-adhesive ribbon used for temporary visual boundaries. Warning tape and caution tape may also describe these products, depending on the printed message and intended application.
Q3: Is this PE barrier tape adhesive?
A: No. It is a non-adhesive polyethylene tape that can be tied, wrapped or secured to suitable supports. It is intended for suspended perimeter marking rather than adhesive floor marking.
Q4: When should I choose red and white barrier tape for safety marking?
A: Red and white barrier tape provides a contrasting pattern for temporary perimeter and restricted-area marking. Confirm that the color combination matches your site procedures and applicable requirements.
Q5: Where can yellow and black hazard barrier tape be used?
A: Yellow and black hazard barrier tape can identify potential hazards and temporary work zones in construction, maintenance and industrial settings. Choose the printed message and installation method for the specific application.
Q6: Is the tape suitable for outdoor use?
A: The tape is intended for temporary marking applications, including outdoor construction and roadwork. UV-resistant ink helps preserve print visibility, but outdoor service life varies with weather, sunlight, handling and site conditions.
Q7: What thicknesses and roll sizes are available?
A: Thickness options are 2.0 mil, 3.0 mil and 4.0 mil. Standard roll sizes are 75 mm × 60 m and 75 mm × 305 m. Contact SLAA to confirm custom dimensions and order requirements.
Q8: Can I order custom printed safety barrier tape?
A: Yes. Standard legends include CAUTION, DANGER, DO NOT ENTER and CONSTRUCTION AREA. Custom wording and multilingual printing can be discussed for volume orders.
Q9: Can barrier tape prevent people from entering a hazardous area?
A: Barrier tape communicates a visible boundary but does not physically prevent entry. Use suitable fencing, barricades or other access-control measures when the application requires them.
Q10: How can I request a wholesale quotation?
A: Contact SLAA with your preferred color combination, thickness, roll dimensions, printed message and estimated quantity. Include any custom artwork, language, packaging or OEM requirements so that available options and pricing can be confirmed.
