Foil Scrim Tape

Foil scrim tape is a type of adhesive tape that combines a layer of foil and a scrim reinforcement. It is commonly used for various sealing, repairing, and joining applications in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems and insulation installations.

Foil scrim tape composed of a glass fiber reinforced aluminum film covered by a transparent Rubber-resin adhesive and protected by a siliconized paper liner. The mesh formed by a set of fiberglass yarns, in a transverse arrangement, where these are spaced from each other at a distance of 3mm.

The foil scrim tape different to Foil fiber glass cloth tape. They are both reinforced aluminum tape that have different structure. Scrim is a simple product of advanced technology. A web-like product. Scrim’s fibers are chemically bonded. Scrim is superior to other fabrics because the fibers are not crimped. Scrim is strong, flexible, and can be fire retardant.
