Aluminum foil insulation tape is a type of adhesive tape that is made from aluminum foil and a strong, heat-resistant adhesive. Aluminum foil insulation tape is single-faced adhesive tape of thickness 50um normal Aluminum foil backing, coated with synthetic rubber-resin adhesive, protected by an easy-release silicone paper liner.
Aluminum foil insulation tape is synthetic rubber adhesive systems. Rubber-resin adhesive will be offer good tack and adhesion to a variety of surfaces, but will not perform well in colder temperatures.
Aluminum foil insulation tape is commonly used in construction and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) applications to seal and insulate joints and seams in ductwork, pipes, and and other insulation applications where FSK or foil facing is used, providing a matching apperance and vapor retarder integrity. The aluminum foil tape provides a thermal barrier and helps to prevent the transfer of heat or cold between different areas. It is also often used for electrical repairs and maintenance, as it can help to shield wires and cables from electromagnetic interference.
HVAC industry for joining and sealing Foil-Scrim-Kraft Facing laminated fiberglass blanket / duct board joints and seams; oining and sealing flexible air duct seams and connections. May also be used for other industrial uses requiring a tape with these characteristics and benefits.
