FSK Tape

FSK tape is a type of tape that is used to seal and protect the seams and joints of FSK-faced insulation. FSK stands for foil/scrim/kraft, and it is a type of insulation that is made up of a layer of foil, a layer of scrim (a type of fabric), and a layer of kraft paper.

FSK facing tape consists of a backing material made of foil, which provides strength and durability, and is reinforced with a scrim (a woven fabric) for added strength. The foil layer helps to provide a vapor barrier and thermal insulation, while the adhesive allows for secure bonding to various surfaces. FSK backing coated with solvent-based acrylic adhesive, protected by an easy-release silicone paper liner. It will be increased tear strength for taping exposed edges and board joints of the rock wool insulation.

FSK tape is used in a variety of applications, including:

Sealing the seams and joints of ductwork insulation
Protecting insulation from moisture and other environmental factors
Providing a vapor barrier
Repairing damaged insulation

Aluminum Foil Tape Applications:

Used for seam sealing and patching of FSK-faced duct wrap insulation. Other insulation applications where FSK facing is used, providing a matching appearance and vapor retarder integrity.

FSK tape features an aggressive, all-weather acrylic adhesive that bonds tightly and permanently when smoothed down on the laminated insulation facing surface. All weather adhesive technology permits service temperatures of -22℉ to +176℉ (-30℃ to +80℃). Application range of +50℉ to +105℉ (+10℃ to +40℃).
