Double-Sided Repulpable Splicing Tape is a type of adhesive tape designed primarily for the paper industry, specifically for splicing rolls of paper together. The tape features an adhesive on both sides, making it ideal for connecting two paper rolls without causing damage during the splicing process.
Double-Sided Repulpable Splicing Tape has either a paper-based or non-woven, tissue-based carrier with a water-soluble, pressure-sensitive adhesive system which allows these tapes to be 100% biodegradable, recyclable and repulpable, making it an environmentally friendly option.
Splicing Tape Description
Double sided repulpable splicing tape supports sustainability efforts by being repulpable and compatible with the recycling process. It facilitates smooth and reliable splicing, allowing continuous production without interruptions. It ensures minimal disruption to the paper's structure, resulting in high-quality end products.
Overlap Splice: Apply this repulpable splicing tape to bond the overlapped section, attaching two substrates by overlapping the roll ends.
Flying splice: Apply this repulpable splicing tape to the end of the roll. The slitted liner of the tape is then removed one of apart to expose the second side of the adhesive and the new roll is overlapped to the adhesive, and ultimately joining the two together.
Splicing Tape Features
Double-Sided Adhesive: The tape has adhesive on both sides, which allows it to bond two paper rolls together seamlessly, creating a strong, secure splice.
Repulpable: The tape is designed to break down easily in the pulping process, meaning it does not interfere with the recycling process of paper. This is essential for maintaining the integrity of recycled paper products.
Strong and Reliable Bond: Provides a strong bond between paper layers, ensuring that the splice holds during high-speed printing or paper processing operations.
No Residue: The adhesive is formulated to leave minimal or no residue behind, ensuring the quality of the final paper product.
Versatile: Suitable for a variety of paper grades, including newsprint, kraft, and other paper products used in industrial printing and converting processes.
