Air Conditioner Duct Tape

Air conditioner duct tape usually coating water-based acrylic adhesive. The aluminum foil tape for air conditioning ducts is heat resistant tape.

SLAA air conditioner duct tape is Pressure sensitive adhesive tape. When applied the AC duct tape, we usually wrapping or sticking the tape on the duct substrate. The tensile strength of pure aluminum foil is not good and easy break during wrapping. If the Pure aluminum foil thickness is increased, the AC duct tape price will be very expensive. So we choose some composite materials instead of pure Aluminum foil for air conditioning ducts in order to improve tensile strength. Such as FSK tape, Aluminum foil glass cloth tape, Foil scrim tape.

What temperature does air conditioner duct tape withstand?

It depends on the adhesive layer. Application Temperature is exactly the temperature at the point that the tape is applied. Application temperature can impact how quickly an Aluminum duct tape bonds with the surface to which it is applied and potentially how strong that bond is, depending on the tape used. If the temperature higher than Application temperature, the air conditioner  tape won’t bond with Duct substrate.

The Acrylic adhesive coated Air conditioner duct tape does not melt up to 150℃. The synthetic rubber-resin adhesive coated melt higher than 80℃.
