Double sided repulpable splicing tape are suitable for use with laminators, coaters, and other converting operations. In the paper and print industry, a splice is a process by which two rolls are combined using tape in order to create one seamless continuous roll.  Double sided repulpable splicing tape are commonly used in flying splices, manual splices, core starting, and roll finishing applications.

Overlap or flying splicing is done by applying a double-coated tape to the end of the roll. The liner of the tape is then removed to expose the second side of the adhesive and the new roll is overlapped to the adhesive, and ultimately joining the two together.
