Double-side Repulpable Splicing Tape

The double sided Repulpable Splicing Tape consists of a Water soluble Modified Acrylic Adhesive, coated on a Repulpable paper carrier. The adhesive offers a strong tack and excellent thermal resistance.

In the Paper and Print industry, a splice is a process by which two rolls are combined using tape in order to create one seamless continuous roll. Repulpable Double-Coated Splicing Tapes are suitable for use with laminators, coaters, and other converting operations. Repulpable Double-Coated Splicing Tapes are commonly used in flying splices, manual splices, core starting, and roll finishing applications.

Overlap or flying splicing is done by applying a double-coated tape to the end of the roll. The liner of the tape is then removed to expose the second side of the adhesive and the new roll is overlapped to the adhesive, and ultimately joining the two together.
