Double sided foil insulation systems, as radiant barriers and reflective insulation work by reflecting radiant heat. D/S reflective aluminum foil radiant barriers are installed outside the glass wool, rock wool, mineral wool, foam insulation materials.
A light duty, Eco grade D/S Foil Insulation. Double sided foil insulation is made from 1 outer layers of pure aluminum foil and 1 outer layer of metallized polyester film as well as 1 layer recycled kraft paper. These layers are bonded together with polyethylene and reinforced with 3-way fiberglass scrim. Reflective aluminum foil insulation is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs, in walls behind cladding or under timber floors, for residential and commercial building. Combining with glass-wool /rockwool/ mineral wool/ foam insulation, it is excellent as a vapor barrier for air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.
