Description

Double sided foil insulation systems, as radiant barriers and reflective insulation work by reflecting radiant heat. D/S reflective aluminum foil radiant barriers are installed outside the glass wool, rock wool, mineral wool, foam insulation materials. It is made from 1 outer layers of pure aluminum foil and 1 outer layer of metallized polyester film as well as 1 layer recycled kraft paper. These layers are bonded together with polyethylene and reinforced with 3-way fiberglass scrim.

The foil layers in double-sided aluminum foil insulation help to reflect radiant heat, preventing its transfer into or out of the insulated space. This can help improve energy efficiency by reducing heat gain in hot climates or heat loss in cold climates. The insulation material in the middle layer provides additional resistance to conductive heat transfer.

Double-sided foil insulation is commonly used in a variety of applications, including residential and commercial buildings, metal buildings, attics, crawl spaces, and HVAC ducts. It is often used to insulate walls, roofs, and floors, as well as to provide insulation and moisture control in HVAC systems.
