Insulation Facing Description

 

Foil scrim kraft faced insulation consists of a layer of 18u aluminum foil, a layer of reinforcing fiberglass scrim (5x5mm spacing), and a layer of kraft paper. This type of insulation is designed to provide thermal resistance and act as a vapor barrier. The aluminum foil layer reflects heat, the fiberglass scrim provides strength, and the kraft paper layer adds durability.

The combination of radiant heat barrier and vapor barrier boosts overall insulation performance, potentially leading to lower energy bills.
