FSK Insulation Tape

FSK insulation tape is designed to seal foil scrim kraft facing fiberglass duct board and pipe insulation against moisture and vapor. FSK insulation jacketing tapes can also be used for patching rips and tears in foil-facing insulation ,used with fiberglass duct wrap for added strength.

Foil-scrim-kraft (FSK) is a flame retardant, vapor-barrier,one of the most commonly used facings in the insulation industry. FSK insulation tape has a combined backing of aluminum foil, kraft paper, and fiberglass scrim. The combined backing properties result in a strong tape that provides a barrier against vapor. High-strength foil-scrim-kraft paper all laminated together using a flame-retardant adhesive.

The primary function of FSK insulation tape is to create airtight seals and joints in HVAC systems, preventing air leakage and improving energy efficiency. It is commonly used to seal seams and edges of insulation panels, wrap insulation around pipes or ducts, and secure insulation blankets in place.

Aluminum Foil Tape Applications:

Foil scrim kraft insulation jacketing tape is used for sealing HVAC duct seams and joints where FSK is the basic insulation facing.Used for sealing and patching FSK ductwork and insulation and provides a finished look for exposed HVAC systems.
